One meter is not enough, I always give as much room as possible and if I can't move past I wait till I can. Nothing is that important to risk another persons life.
People just have to stop and think what really is at risk

A metre's gap is the basic minimum, yet all too critical right for all cyclists.

Hi Cheryl,

Sorry for the late reply ... we kind of do The Wheeler in our spare time, as you may be able to tell from the sporadic updates to the website.

We're not selling The Wheeler kit as yet - we just had an order of 20 or so made for 'friends and family'.

There might be some left that might fit you - I've let Yvonne know of your interest - although last time I looked they were all XXLs.

Kind regards,
Cassandra

The course is one of the best in Victoria. I've done almost all recreational rides here including Alpine Classic, Three Peaks, Alpine Ascent 7 Peaks, you name it. This one combines the best parts of two of my favorite, Rainforest Ride and Otway Classic. Simply stunning scenery.

Thanks for that info Ebony. It's hard for us to work out who's who sometimes, esp. if not St Kilda people - I've updated the post.

Kind regards,

A helmet has been a part of my cycling attire ever since they became compulsory and just today (Jan 5, 2011) I rode off to work without it in place. As I left home my senses told me something was wrong, but I couldn't figure it out until I had the unusual feeling of the wind rustling through my hair.
I returned home to collect my helmet and in that short journey (probably less than five kilometres) I felt remarkably vulnerable.
Helmets are, in my view, a critical and integral part of the safety of riding a bicycle. The wearing of a helmet is a small price pay to ensure the protection of the most critical part of the human anatomy. A graze or a broken leg will repair, but an injured brain is forever.

Saw your magazine yesterday in Velocino's & it immediately drew my attention as its content was Melbourne based. The quality of the magazine from articles, photography and overall finish was extremely impressive, a perfect size I might add. What made it more inviting was the breadth of the content, i.e. not really a main focus on one or two types of cycling culture.

Keep up the good work and thanks for something refreshing.
