Code of Conduct
Cycling Victoria has recently updated Victoria’s Code of Conduct for the Training Cyclist to include recommendations for Victoria’s growing population of bunch riders and group cyclists.
Initially released in 2007, the code is a joint project between Cycling Victoria and Victoria Police aimed at emphasising safe riding in groups and at night and riding to the rules. By reminding cyclists to take the initiative in ensuring personal safety and the safety of other road users, it’s hoped the code will help lower the risk of road accidents across Victoria.
The code is a common sense approach to group cycling for all Australians and riders everywhere.
