MELBOURNE BIKEFEST 2012
The annual Bikefest festival officially kicked into gear last night to launch a month-long celebration of life on two wheels. From 17 February to 17 March, Melbourne will be host to a bike themed events encompassing fashion, food, film, performance, markets, talks, rides, art, design and advocacy projects. The vision of Bikefest is to instill bike riding as a mainstream transport choice in Australian culture and places emphasis on 'taking the sport out of transport’.
